Go Green When You Go!

Tree-on-Grassy-Hill

Baby boomers are changing the way we close out our lives. That includes a big shift from traditional memorial services to event that are more festive. It also includes a shift from traditional burials. We all know burials with a concrete vault and embalmed body are hard on the environment, but cremation is not a great option either because of toxins that are released into the atmosphere and the amount of energy cremation requires.

There are many greener alternatives now.  Check out this excellent article summarizing some of the options: Going Green

Happily, greener burial and body disposal options are also cheaper. Traditional funerals can cost more than $10,000. If you plan ahead and go for a natural burial, your costs can be close to zero.

Going green helps your pocketbook AND the Earth!
